A Perfect Chinese and Seafood Dining at Lotus Court (Marco Polo Hotel)

I've been to Marco Polo Davao several times, but this was my first time to dine at Lotus Court. I was invited by my friend Janet for her post birthday celebration and since most of us were Chinese food and seafood dishes lovers, and the perfect place to celebrate was at the Lotus Court Restaurant of Marco Polo Davao with their Cantonese and Seafood Buffet.
We finished early at the office, just in time my friend Dave could fetch us. When we arrived at the place, the lady manager greeted us at the entrance then seated us to our table. I thought we were too early because we were the first guest in the restaurant. She then told us that the food was ready and that we could start dinner. She pointed to us where the appetizer or starter was and the rest of the dishes.

I started with green salad while waiting for our companions to arrive. I was already having soup when one by one our other companions started to arrive. There were 9 of us who dined that time. Not very long after, several tall men arrived to dine. I thought then that it was time to go to the main course because these men could be big eaters and I was right. It didn't take very long for this seafood restaurant to be filled up with diners. I found out later that they were Barangay Genebra San Miguel basketball players. Also with them was their famous coach Allan Caidic.

As I've said earlier, it didn't take very long for the restaurant to be filled up. Lotus Court buffet was said to be one of the sought after seafood buffets in Davao City and now I know why. All the dishes possessed exciting flavors, textures and aroma distinct from each other that delights our palate. I tasted just a small portion of the other dishes, I concentrated more on the "stir-fried crabs with garlic and onion". I lost count on how many times I went back for the crabs, it was just heavenly. I really had a sensational dining at Lotus Court Restaurant.

Lotus Court is an 80-seater Chinese Cuisine restaurant at Marco Polo Davao. This cozy and sophisticated restaurant serves an abundant selection of fresh seafood and other Chinese dishes. They have appetizers, dimsum, soup, main course and desserts. The interior was elegantly decorated which made the place to contain luxurious vive and the charm and character of an upper-market aura of an authentic Chinese restaurant.

Lotus Court is open daily at Lunch : 11:00 am - 2:30 pm and Dinner : 6:00 pm - 10:00 pm. at P750 per person. And, if you have Marco Polo's Privilege Card you can possibly get big discounts. We used the privilege card of our friend Joanne and we got 50% discount for 8 diners and only 1 was billed full. Wasn't that great =)

  6. The way you share you first experience in dining with Lotus court resto of Marco Polo Davao has perfectly captivated you, especially the unspecified number or time of eating crabs. Crabs are my "anti" seafood delicacy! I am allergic of eating them.
